# Privacy Policy — Lark: Pocket puzzles

**Lark · Last updated 18 October 2026**

Lark is a collection of fifteen word and logic puzzles, with a new puzzle in every
game each day. It is built to be played without giving anything away: **Lark does
not collect, transmit, share or sell any personal data.** It has no accounts, no
ads, no analytics and no trackers, and it plays fully offline.

## Information we collect

We — the developer — collect **nothing**. Lark contains no analytics SDKs, no
advertising, no third-party trackers and no crash-reporting services. We have no
servers, and no data about you is ever sent to us.

## Information stored on your device

Your progress and settings are saved on your device, in Lark's own storage:

- Which puzzles you have solved, your daily times and your streak
- Your settings: paper (light or dark), sound, haptics and reminder time
- A cached flag recording whether you own Lark Full

Deleting the app removes them. If you back up your device to iCloud or a
computer, that backup may include Lark's data under your own backup settings,
handled by Apple.

## Apple services Lark uses

When you use these, your interaction is handled by Apple under **Apple's**
privacy policy, not ours:

- **iCloud key-value storage.** If you are signed in to iCloud, Lark keeps a copy
of your puzzle progress in your own iCloud so it follows you to your other
iPhone or iPad. Only your devices can read it; we have no access to it. You can
turn iCloud off for Lark in your device's settings.
- **In-App Purchase (StoreKit).** The optional Lark Full purchase is processed
entirely by Apple. Lark only learns whether the purchase is active — it never
sees your payment details or your identity.

## Reminders, widgets and sharing

- The optional **daily reminder** is a notification scheduled on your device.
Nothing is sent to a server, and you can turn it off at any time.
- Lark's **widgets** read your streak and today's progress from storage shared
only between Lark and its widget, on your device.
- When you tap **Share** after solving a daily, Lark hands a short line of text
(for example "Lark · Crowns #48 · 1:42 ✓") to your device's share sheet. Where
it goes next is your choice; Lark sends nothing itself.

## Children

Lark does not collect personal data and is suitable for players of any age.
Purchases are Apple features governed by your device's parental controls and
Apple's own policies.

## Data retention and your rights

Because all game data lives on your device (and in your own iCloud, if you use
it), you are always in control: deleting the app removes it, and iCloud data can
be managed in your device's iCloud settings.

## Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. The current version is always
available at this address, linked from the app's App Store listing.
