Development support for agencies and studios

White-label web and app development for agencies

hehe.software takes on web and app development under your brand or with a credit, from a defined feature to a full build. We are a small, independent studio based in Vancouver, working remotely across Canada and the United States. Email mwe@hehe.software or use the contact form with the brief, current stack, and target date to start.

White-label for agencies, properly.

Extra hands for studios and agencies.

01

Bring us a build, a feature, or a stubborn problem

White label web development can mean turning approved designs into a website, extending an existing store, or taking a contained piece of a larger application. You keep the agency relationship. We agree on the technical scope, communication route, and review process before starting.

We also take fix-it jobs on sites and apps we did not build. You can bring in a subcontract developer for one awkward integration. White label app development can cover an app, a specific feature, or preparation for an App Store launch.

02

Typical requests you can scope separately

A useful sub-project has a clear boundary and a way to check that it is finished. These are examples of work you can bring us, rather than accounts of past agency engagements:

  • Build responsive pages from approved UI designs, including navigation, forms, and loading and error states.
  • Extend a WordPress site or a Shopify or WooCommerce store with a defined content or shopping flow.
  • Add an API or payment integration to an existing web app, including the interface for failed requests.
  • Implement an iOS feature in SwiftUI, or scope Android and cross-platform app work.
  • Investigate slow pages, broken layouts, accessibility issues, or technical SEO problems and implement agreed fixes.
  • Migrate a website, with an agreed plan for content, redirects, testing, and launch responsibilities.

03

From your first email to an agreed handoff

Start with what needs to ship, what already exists, and what is blocking progress. Send designs or a brief, the platform and repository details, the target date, and any dependencies on your client or another developer. Identify who approves the work and whether we communicate only through your agency or join agreed technical discussions.

We scope the work and give a fixed quote or an hourly estimate. If the codebase or requirements need investigation first, paid discovery can define the work before a larger commitment. Agree on acceptance criteria, review points, and responsibility for deployment.

During implementation, review the agreed pages, features, and important failure states. New requests need a scope decision before they become extra work. Define the handoff up front: code changes, setup instructions, configuration requirements, known limitations, and any deployment notes needed by the developer taking over.

04

Work within the stack the project needs

Our web offering includes custom websites, WordPress, Shopify, WooCommerce, Webflow, Squarespace, and Wix. For web apps, we work with Next.js, React, and TypeScript. Share the existing platform and constraints early so we can assess the task within that setup.

App development covers Swift and SwiftUI for iOS, Kotlin and Jetpack Compose for Android, and React Native or Flutter for cross-platform projects. The choice depends on the existing app, required device features, and who will maintain it. Tell us about required libraries, API documentation, build instructions, and test or staging access before implementation begins.

If your developer already has repository conventions and a review process, include those in the brief. Agree on where changes are made, who reviews them, and who controls production access. This makes a small contribution easier to integrate into a larger project.

05

A fit for defined overflow and ongoing work

Overflow development suits a design studio with approved screens to build, an agency with a temporary delivery gap, or a developer who wants help with a separate feature. As extra development capacity for your agency, we can work on a fixed-price project, hourly tasks, or a monthly retainer for maintenance and ongoing work.

We take on a small number of projects at a time, with direct access to the people doing the work. If you plan to outsource web development, bring the delivery deadline into the first conversation. This is less suited to an undefined backlog with an immediate fixed deadline, or work without someone available to answer questions and approve decisions.

06

Proof from products we own

We design, build, and maintain our own products end to end, including nine apps live on the App Store. Rain is a browser with on-device ad and tracker blocking. Broski handles bill splitting with exact shares offline. Moonflower is a Safari extension with dark mode and a Reader. These are owned products, not client work.

Our products demonstrate native Swift and SwiftUI development, offline SQLite data, StoreKit purchases, and App Store submission and review. This hand-built website is ours too, with a WebGL hero, video, and structured data. These examples give you concrete work to inspect while we assess the requirements of your project.

Ways to work with us

Built by us

We don’t show client logos. We show what we build and run ourselves — nine apps on the App Store, and this site.

Questions

Can you take only a small part of an agency project?

Yes. An agreed feature, template, integration or repair can be a standalone sub-project. Send the stack, acceptance criteria and who reviews the work. We coordinate the handoff with your developer so the change fits the wider build.

How does white-label communication work?

Before starting, agree whether we communicate through your agency or directly with the end client, and how the work is credited. That agreement also covers repository access, approvals and release ownership. You keep control of the client relationship and the delivery process.

Can you work alongside our existing developer?

Yes, we take sub-projects for agencies and other studios, under your brand or credited. Define the feature boundary, code review owner, and integration process together. Your existing developer can provide the technical context and review the contribution.

Can you maintain the project after handoff?

Yes, maintenance and ongoing work can be scoped through a monthly retainer, with hourly work available for fixes and small jobs. Agree on the covered work, access, and scheduling before handoff. We also take maintenance and fixes on sites and apps we did not build.

How do you quote agency work?

Pricing is quote-only: we scope the work and provide a fixed quote or an hourly estimate. Send the brief, designs, stack, dependencies, and acceptance criteria. Where unknowns prevent a useful estimate, paid discovery can establish the scope first.

Tell us what needs doing.

A short email is enough: what you have, what’s wrong or missing, and when you need it. We reply with questions or a plan.
