Rain

Ads and trackers, washed away. A familiar browser with blocking on the device, a start page you arrange, Reader, tab groups, and a Playlist for the videos you open.

Free. No in-app purchases.

Meet the fresh internet.

We built a browser. Yes, really.

  • No ads
  • No analytics
  • No account
  • Blocks trackers on-device

01

Shields up

Rain blocks ads and trackers on your device. Per-site controls adjust protection for a single page, and the Shields panel shows what was blocked on the page you are reading.

Filter lists are included from the first launch and refresh from their publishers.

02

Every video, one Playlist

Add a video you open in the browser to Playlist and play it in Rain. Organize items in folders, resume where you stopped, change speed, shuffle, repeat, or set a sleep timer.

AirPlay and Picture in Picture work where the system and the media support them. If a stream link expires, Rain can revisit the source page to recover playback.

03

A start page that is yours

Favorites, Playlist and Reading List each get their own section. Pick the sections, put them in order, and set a background or a photo from your library.

04

Tabs, profiles, Reader

  • Swipe up from the address bar for tabs, sideways to switch
  • Profiles keep sessions, Favorites and history apart
  • Named tab groups inside each profile
  • Private tabs leave no history behind
  • Reader with your choice of font, size and background
  • Voice search, and the search engine of your choice

What’s new in 1.1.2

Fixes a problem that could close Rain or leave a black screen right after opening it on iPhone. Rain also opens faster: your tabs appear immediately while content blocking finishes loading.
